Orange County Animal Services

Orange County Animal Services is a progressive animal-welfare focused organization that enforces the Orange County Code to protect both citizens
and animals.  Animal Services welcomes more than 23,000 animals to their shelter each year.  Their Field Operations group responds 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to citizens' calls regarding animal abuse and neglect, loose and nuisance animals, injured animals, animal bites and attacks, and abandoned pets.

The Dawn Brancheau Foundation established the first Dawn Brancheau Foundation Shelter Play Yard at Orange County Animal Services where Dawn
was a volunteer.  Dawn loved her dogs Jake, Ruger, and Maggi, and also cared
for and found homes for the countless strays that wandered into her life.  The Foundation continues to honor Dawn’s love of animals by enriching the lives
of these shelter dogs in the hope of increasing their rate of adoption and addressing the needs of this animal-welfare focused program.
