South Suburban Humane Society
The South Suburban Humane Society is dedicated to promoting the well-being
of animals in Chicago's south suburbs. Through their care and sheltering of animals, investigative practices, pet ownership education, adoption services,
and spay/neuter policies, The South Suburban Humane Society makes every effort towards ending animal homelessness, reducing pet overpopulation,
and ending cruel, inhumane treatment and abuse towards pets.
The Dawn Brancheau Foundation established its first Dawn Brancheau
Shelter Play Yard in the Chicagoland area at South Suburban Humane Society. The Foundation continues to honor Dawn’s love of animals by providing play yard equipment, supplying “Doggie Adoption Bags” assembled at the Dream
Big Walk, and fulfilling the requests of those who care for the shelter dogs.
